The Mac app

Kept Kept stores notes as UTF-8 text files in folders on your Mac. The app has no accounts, analytics, or advertising SDKs. Sparkle contacts the configured update feed to check for and download signed app updates. Recent file locations and window state may be stored locally by macOS.

Desktop and iCloud

If you enabled Desktop syncing in iCloud Drive, or use another file-sync service, those services may sync notes under their own policies. Kept Kept does not operate or control those services.

This website

This page includes no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, external fonts, or marketing cookies. The hosting provider may process standard request data, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and secure the site. Private preview access may require the hosting provider’s sign-in.

Deleting Kept Kept

Removing the app does not delete your notes. Manage those ordinary text files in Finder. Clear the app’s recent document list through File → Open Recent → Clear Menu.
